A Wake Up Call to Egertonians

I bet that by now we all know the % in HIV prevalence in Egerton University Njoro. This is the moment we all need to be cautious and take life seriously for no one will come to your rescue once you get into this trap.

How many of us take precautions before getting into any act? How many of us have decided to believe that fun without sex isn’t fun? How many of us sleep around in the name of love? How many of us take up abstinence as the best weapon against HIV or better still being faithful? How man yof us attend sessions by groups and organizations in campus that help sensitize on healthy living? How many of us visit the counseling department for guidance and counseling?

It’s a dawn that must be in each and every one of us as a student’s body. We ought make our future and not break it for it’s not worth the struggle to get good grades alongside the dreaded grade. We will not be the best labour force in Kenya if we stoop too low for every Harry and Dick with regard to sex. It is time to stop attending bashes that you know not of its aim. It is time to be part of a generation that chooses to live life to the fullest responsibly. It is time to be well armed with information on safer sex if this is what you must engage in. As a matter of fact, if you love each other, you will WAIT and the best parties are those that all guys leave the party happy and refreshed and not feeling used, wasted and high.

This said and done, may we all heed to the wake-up call that HIV is real in our campus, that we are all vulnerable and at risk even if you are the most saved student, shit happens but we all have to rise to the occasion and be each other’s keeper, let have responsibility partners to whom we will be accountable to all through our campus life, lets make the best use of our counseling department, the sanitarium and organizations such as I Choose Life.

We have to live, we have to fight for our healthy being, we got to be safe. Remember the best weapon still stands-ABSTAIN TILL THE RIGHT TIME for you will loose nothing by doing this but will be at your health’s best. If you choose not to Abstain, then better protect yourselves!!!!!!!!!!
