The birth of hangout sessions at Egerton

Hey Egertonians. It is a fact that we have a lot of talented students in our campus, but, chances to showcase this very gift has been minimal if not zero. We have dance crews, actors, musicians, rappers, comedians, M C’S, Dj’s, spoken word artists, and other unique talent forms. They have all yearned to have that opportunity to put up that what is hidden in them to our fellow students and the Egerton community at large.

Again, students always crave for that event, that concert, that challenge that will keep them entertained especially on Friday evenings and weekend. That place that, after a whole week of classes and other academics activities, can get a entertained and re-energized an anticipation of a sporty weekend.
At last an initiative to keep campus life fun responsibly is here. Most if not all students know of a student with a stage name Freeboy or, better still Chemisto. Apparently he is a Campus Change Agent with I CHOOSE LIFE AFRICA, an NGO with a vision of a Healthy Empowered People in Africa. He has come up with  hang out sessions where students can get to nurture their talents by using this very avenue to sensitize on a healthy campus in an aim of creating empowerment to both the talented students and to the whole student body at large.

At this hangout that will be rotational in the wider campus hostels and in halls, all students with diverse talents will be given a platform to showcase that what is in them at the same time passing messages of responsible living in campus then random entertainment and hype sessions will follow. This initiative is supported by ICL. The bottom line is to create an informed and empowered student fraternity that lead healthy and responsible lives.

Details will be up on notice boards, on the ICL Central Rift OFFICIAL PAGE ON FACEBOOK , on ECL (FACEBOOK) and in your phone inbox starting Monday.

For all students interested in being part of this initiative, send a SMS to 0727222603 or email emcrew
@ymail.com for more information. It’s time to let Talents Shine Egertonians.
